Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced WFH Finance Officer specializing in Payroll & Invoicing to join our dynamic team at Deloitte Australia. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office. You will play a crucial role in managing our payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, contributing significantly to our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of Australian financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for a diverse employee base in compliance with Australian legislation and awards.
- Manage all aspects of invoicing, including generation, distribution, and reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory requirements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll and accounts receivable.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and leave entitlements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve financial discrepancies and streamline processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Payroll Officer, or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA designation (or working towards).
- Experience with large-scale payroll systems.
- Prior experience in a fully remote work setting.
- Knowledge of specific industry awards relevant to professional services.
