Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Data Analyst to join our Corporate ESG team. This is a fully remote position (Work From Home) based in Australia. In this role, you will be instrumental in collecting, analysing, and interpreting ESG data to support our clients’ sustainability strategies and reporting requirements. You will work with diverse datasets, develop robust analytical models, and provide actionable insights that drive sustainable business practices and meet regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track key sustainability metrics and trends.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG data to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support the preparation of ESG reports, disclosures, and presentations for various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with global reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability data management and reporting.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in sustainability consulting or corporate ESG roles.
- Familiarity with climate change risk assessment and carbon accounting methodologies.
- Knowledge of Australian specific sustainability regulations and policies.
