Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Supply Chain Labourers to join our team in Cairns. This is an immediate hire position, with the expectation to start tomorrow, offering a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in logistics or continue building on their existing skills. As a Supply Chain Labourer, you will be integral to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution facilities, handling a variety of tasks crucial to our daily success. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers, ensuring safe handling practices.
- Sort, stack, and organise inventory in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided if needed, or if licensed).
- Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintenance, to ensure a tidy and safe working environment.
- Conduct routine checks on goods for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or labourer role.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
