Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in the security and building installation industry? Jim’s Security Doors Campbellfield is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Security Screen Offsider to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a desire to develop practical installation skills. You’ll work alongside experienced installers, assisting with all aspects of security screen and door installation, learning on the job, and contributing to a safer community. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training for the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior installers with the preparation and installation of security doors and screens.
- Handle and transport materials and tools safely to and from job sites.
- Learn to measure, cut, and fit various security screen components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicle and workshop.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Complete basic administrative tasks such as job sheets and material checklists.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry materials.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred but not essential).
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Punctual and professional approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Basic experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Previous experience in a trade assistant or labourer role.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
