Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and analytical Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team in Osborne Park. This role is crucial in transforming raw data into actionable insights that optimize our logistics operations, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making across the supply chain. You will be instrumental in analyzing trends, identifying bottlenecks, and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive our success in a stable and growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to inventory, transportation, warehousing, and demand forecasting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to present key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain through data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and IT, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for supply chain issues and recommend data-backed solutions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new analytical tools and methodologies.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analysis functions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within logistics or supply chain.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of inventory management and forecasting techniques.
