Job Description
We are seeking a talented and analytical Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Sydney. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging data to optimize our supply chain operations, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, forecast demands, and recommend actionable insights that enhance our logistics processes and client services. This is a stable work environment where your contributions will directly impact our operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various supply chain systems and sources.
- Develop and maintain robust data models, reports, and interactive dashboards using visualization tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within supply chain data (e.g., inventory levels, transportation costs, delivery times).
- Collaborate closely with logistics, operations, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis projects.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize service delivery.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of new supply chain initiatives and technologies.
- Present complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis methods and their application to business problems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for advanced analytics and automation.
- Knowledge of warehousing and transportation management systems (WMS, TMS).
