Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a career in the booming renewable energy sector? Solargain is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Solar Panel Installer Labourers to join our growing team in Osborne Park. This is an incredible opportunity to learn a valuable trade from industry experts, with no prior experience required. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with the installation of solar panels on residential and commercial properties, while developing essential skills in a supportive environment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable with physical work in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced solar technicians with the installation of solar panels and related equipment on roofs and ground mounts.
- Help with the safe loading, unloading, and transportation of solar equipment to job sites.
- Prepare work sites by setting up safety equipment, scaffolding, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Carry out basic electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures diligently.
- Learn and apply best practices for solar panel installation and maintenance.
- Assist with trenching, conduit installation, and general site duties as required.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing Solargain.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Basic understanding of tools and comfort using them (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Current Australian Driver's License (preferred, but not essential for starting).
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) – can be obtained upon employment.
- Experience in construction, roofing, or a related trade.
- First Aid certification.
- Working at Heights certification.
