Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Security Screen Installer Assistant. You will work closely with experienced technicians, learning the ropes of security screen installation while contributing to the safety of our clients’ properties. This is an immediate start position, ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in a practical trade and build a career in the security services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with the precise and efficient installation of security screens and doors.
- Prepare work sites, including safely clearing and cleaning areas before and after installation.
- Safely handle, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Learn and apply techniques for measuring, cutting, and fitting various security screen components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work vehicle and all company equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company guidelines, and industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professional conduct and clear communication on client premises.
Required Skills
- Manual dexterity and the physical fitness required for lifting, carrying, and repetitive tasks.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and learn new skills quickly.
- Basic understanding of common tools or a strong willingness to learn rapidly.
- Valid Australian driver's license or the ability to obtain one quickly.
- Good verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a trade, construction, or handyman role (even basic experience is a plus).
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Proficiency in basic measurements and calculations.
