Job Description
Are you passionate about fresh food and eager to start your career in a dynamic kitchen environment? Gascoyne Greens Cafe is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Salad Prep Hand to join our team. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with little to no prior experience who are keen to learn and grow within the food service industry. You will play a crucial role in preparing our signature salads and other menu items, ensuring the highest standards of quality and hygiene. We foster a supportive and healthy work environment where teamwork and a positive attitude are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, chop, and prepare a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, and other salad ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
- Assemble salads, wraps, and other cold food items accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times, following food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing produce.
- Support the kitchen team with general duties as required, including dishwashing and tidying.
- Ensure all food preparation areas meet health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is a plus, but not essential.
- Current Food Handler's Certificate.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
