Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Roofing Labourers in Gosford, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy physical outdoor work and are committed to safety. As a Roofing Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our roofing crews, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the successful completion of various roofing projects. Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, and comprehensive safety training will be part of your onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist roofing technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems (tile, metal, etc.)
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently on job sites
- Prepare work areas by setting up safety barriers and ensuring clear access
- Perform general site clean-up and material disposal after project completion
- Support the team with tasks such as carrying materials, mixing compounds, and basic tool operation
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the consistent use of provided PPE
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the roofing trade
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a similar outdoor labour role is a plus, but not essential
- White Card (General Construction Induction Training card)
- First Aid certification
