Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Road Construction Hands to join our team in Devonport, Tasmania, on a part-time day roster basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking for consistent work in the civil construction sector, contributing to vital infrastructure projects within the community. You will be an integral part of our crew, assisting with various on-site tasks to ensure the smooth and safe execution of road construction and maintenance projects. This is an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including digging, trenching, and ground clearing.
- Operate small hand tools and power tools as directed by supervisors.
- Load and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work site at all times.
- Support skilled operators and tradespeople in their daily tasks.
- Perform basic traffic control duties (if qualified and directed).
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations on site.
- Participate actively in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report any hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or a similar manual labour role.
- Valid Australian White Card (General Construction Induction Card).
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools.
