Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Remote Policy Writer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves drafting, reviewing, and refining policies, procedures, and guidelines primarily for government agencies and large corporate clients. The successful candidate will possess an exceptional ability to distil complex information into clear, concise, and actionable policy documents, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and organisational objectives. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects from anywhere in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyse, and interpret complex legislation, regulations, and industry standards to inform policy development.
- Draft, review, and edit comprehensive policy documents, procedures, and guidelines for government and corporate clients.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, legal teams, and stakeholders to gather input and ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Ensure all policy documents adhere to established writing standards, brand guidelines, and accessibility requirements.
- Manage multiple policy development projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on policy best practices and implementation strategies.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing policies to ensure they remain current, effective, and compliant.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to present policy drafts and gather feedback.
- Maintain an organised repository of all policy documentation and related research materials.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in policy writing, analysis, or development, particularly within government or corporate sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesise complex information effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote environment.
- Understanding of legislative processes and regulatory compliance frameworks.
