Job Description
We are seeking a highly engaged and proactive Remote Instagram Community Moderator to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position. You will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant, positive, and safe community across our Instagram channels, acting as the voice of our brand and ensuring an exceptional user experience. If you love social media, have a keen eye for detail, and are passionate about building strong online communities, we want to hear from you. You will play a crucial role in maintaining brand reputation and engaging directly with our audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and moderate user-generated content, comments, and direct messages on Instagram in real-time.
- Respond to user inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely, professional, and brand-consistent manner.
- Identify and escalate critical issues, complaints, or negative sentiment to relevant internal teams.
- Implement and enforce community guidelines to maintain a respectful and positive online environment.
- Engage proactively with the community, sparking conversations and building relationships with followers.
- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for content improvement based on community interactions.
- Collaborate with the social media and content teams to align moderation strategies with overall marketing goals.
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reports on community engagement and moderation activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in social media moderation or community management, especially on Instagram.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Deep understanding of Instagram's platform, features, and best practices.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities to handle sensitive situations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- High level of empathy and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reporting and analytics for social media performance.
- Understanding of digital marketing principles.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (advantageous but not required).
- Background in customer service or public relations.
