Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Barback to join our dynamic team for casual night shifts. This role is perfect for someone looking to dive into the vibrant nightlife scene of Katherine, providing essential support to our bartenders and ensuring our bar operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Restock bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, and garnishes throughout shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.
- Assist bartenders with preparing drinks and serving customers as needed.
- Change kegs and replace empty bottles.
- Ensure all fridges are stocked and organized according to standards.
- Support in setting up and closing down the bar each night.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Required Skills
- Ability to work casual night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
- Basic understanding of bar operations (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages.
