Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QA Software Tester with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our dynamic technology team in Shepparton. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our critical financial applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Analyze test results, prepare reports, and provide feedback on software quality to stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings.
  • Maintain and update automated test scripts and frameworks.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in both manual and automation software testing.
  • Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, NUnit, TestNG).
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL for database testing.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Level).
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or working with complex enterprise applications.
