Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to join our dynamic team focused on critical government infrastructure projects. This stable full-time position in Belconnen, ACT, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to projects that have a significant impact on Australian communities and the economy. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and project coordination support, ensuring the smooth operation and timely delivery of complex initiatives within a structured government environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to project managers and project teams.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, distributing minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of project documentation, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, risk registers, and issue logs.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow between project stakeholders, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and assist with financial reporting where required.
  • Assist with procurement processes, including raising purchase orders and tracking invoices.
  • Support the onboarding of new project team members and manage access to project tools and systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and government regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or project support role, preferably within a government or large corporate environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of basic project management principles and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
