Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Program Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team in Karratha, Western Australia. This pivotal role will focus on leading the successful delivery of complex programs and projects within the government sector, particularly those related to regional development, infrastructure, and resource management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of government processes, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in delivering high-value outcomes on time and within budget. You will be instrumental in managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, contributing directly to the growth and sustainability of the Pilbara region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of complex programs and projects for government clients in the Karratha region.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, local authorities, and community representatives.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage project teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve project objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing proactive solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and communications for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within program delivery processes.
  • Manage resource allocation and procurement activities for assigned programs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or project management, with significant exposure to the government sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related discipline.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
  • Experience working on projects within the Western Australian government or resource sector.
  • Local knowledge and established networks within the Pilbara region.
  • Experience with aboriginal engagement and cultural heritage management in project delivery.
