Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Practice Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Fremantle. This pivotal role involves managing the daily operations of our dental and allied health practice, ensuring smooth patient flow, efficient administrative processes, and exceptional customer service. You will be instrumental in supporting our practitioners, handling patient enquiries, coordinating appointments, and overseeing practice benefits administration. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily practice operations, including scheduling, patient registration, and administrative tasks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patient enquiries, providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Coordinate and optimise appointment schedules for dentists and allied health professionals.
- Oversee patient billing, insurance claims, and benefits administration processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health privacy regulations.
- Support clinical staff with administrative duties, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Monitor inventory of practice supplies and place orders as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and professional practice environment.
- Implement and maintain practice policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental or medical practice administration role.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., D4W, Exact).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Dental Assisting, or a related field.
- Experience with health insurance benefits processing and claims submission.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
