Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Police Assistance Line Operators in Geraldton. We provide professional, in-depth training to equip you with all the necessary skills to handle a diverse range of non-urgent police enquiries. Your role will be critical in providing information, taking reports, and directing callers to the appropriate police resources, all while maintaining a high standard of service and empathy. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, offering a stable and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to non-urgent calls and online reports from the public.
  • Provide accurate information and advice regarding police services and procedures.
  • Record detailed and precise reports of incidents and general enquiries.
  • Refer complex or urgent matters to the appropriate police units for follow-up.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict privacy protocols.
  • Utilise various computer systems and databases efficiently.
  • Adhere to all operational policies and procedures.
  • Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training sessions.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to empathise and remain calm under pressure.
