Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in a vital trade? Eyre Peninsula Plumbing & Gas is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Plumber’s Labourer to join our growing team in Port Lincoln. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn, work hard, and build a lasting career in plumbing. You will work alongside experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on knowledge and practical skills from day one. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified plumbers with various tasks on job sites, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Prepare work areas by clearing obstacles, setting up tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from the work site.
- Dig trenches, lay pipes, and assist with general ground preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, equipment, and work vehicles.
- Perform basic manual labour tasks as directed by the lead plumber.
- Learn and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and digging.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations.
- Valid Australian driver's license (desirable but not essential at application).
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction or trades (even from personal projects) is a plus.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
- First Aid certification.
