Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Pipe Layer Labourers to join our civil infrastructure team in Joondalup, Western Australia. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation, connection, and maintenance of various piping systems (stormwater, sewer, water mains) according to project specifications.
- Excavating and backfilling trenches manually or using hand tools, ensuring proper grading and compaction.
- Operating basic plant and equipment (e.g., jackhammers, small compactors) as directed and qualified.
- Working safely around heavy machinery and adhering strictly to all site safety protocols and procedures.
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site, including clearing debris and waste.
- Collaborating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Performing general labouring duties as required to support civil construction activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a labourer in a civil construction environment, ideally within infrastructure projects.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Strong understanding and commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles and procedures.
- Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card) for working on Australian construction sites.
- Reliable transport to and from work sites in the Joondalup area and surrounding regions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in pipe laying, drainage work, or utility installation.
- HR/MR Truck Licence.
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Tickets for operating basic plant (e.g., skid steer, roller, excavator under 5t).
