Job Description
Join StarTrack as a Parcel Sorter and play a critical role in our night shift operations in Brisbane. This is a full-time position offering excellent penalty rates for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will be responsible for accurately sorting parcels and freight, ensuring they are directed to the correct locations for timely delivery. We are looking for reliable team players who are committed to maintaining our high standards of service and safety, particularly during our busiest operational hours overnight. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort parcels, packages, and freight according to destination and shipping method.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, and containers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Scan and track packages accurately using handheld devices.
- Identify and report any damaged or suspicious packages.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient sorting operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and security.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience with scanning equipment and warehouse management systems.
