Job Description
Are you passionate about eye care and eager to start your career in a dynamic retail clinical environment? Specsavers Kingscliff is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Optical Dispenser Intern to join our dedicated team. This entry-level internship offers hands-on training and mentorship, providing you with the essential skills and knowledge to become a skilled Optical Dispenser. You will learn all aspects of optical dispensing, from understanding prescriptions and fitting frames to providing exceptional customer service and assisting with administrative tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable retail clinical experience and launch a rewarding career in optics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Optical Dispensers and Optometrists with daily operations.
- Learn to interpret optical prescriptions and guide customers in selecting appropriate frames and lenses.
- Understand and apply basic lensometry and frame adjustments.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and informative experience for every client.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the retail floor and clinical areas.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and display merchandising.
- Familiarise yourself with booking systems and patient records, maintaining confidentiality.
- Actively participate in training sessions and mentorship programs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and operational guidelines.
