Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Online Product Designer to join our dynamic team in Launceston. This role is crucial for shaping the user experience of our e-commerce platform, ensuring intuitive navigation, compelling visuals, and seamless interactions that drive conversion and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing specialists to conceptualize, design, and refine features that enhance our brand’s online presence and shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive and engaging design solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Present design concepts and articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and e-commerce best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UX/UI design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience designing for e-commerce platforms and responsive web.
- Solid portfolio showcasing strong visual design skills and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to articulate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience with A/B testing and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end development constraints.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
