Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Marina Support Staff to join our team in Tullamarine. This part-time role operates on a day roster, focusing on outdoor duties to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our marine facilities and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and possesses a strong work ethic. You will be instrumental in maintaining the pristine condition of our marina, assisting with berthing, and providing general support to our valued members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the mooring and unmooring of vessels, providing guidance to boat owners.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks of marina docks, pontoons, and common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Operate and maintain marina equipment, including buggies, pressure washers, and basic tools.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to marina guests and staff as required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Assist with waste management and recycling programs within the marina.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to learn.
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a marina, boating, or outdoor operations environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of marine terminology and boat handling.
- Current Australian Driver's License.
