Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Logistics Labourer to join our Penrith Distribution Centre team on a part-time basis for afternoon shifts. This role is crucial to our supply chain, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods. If you are physically fit, have a strong work ethic, and are looking for a stable role with penalty rates for afternoon hours, we encourage you to apply. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced environment, contributing to the timely delivery of products to our stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods from trucks and containers.
- Moving stock within the warehouse using manual or powered equipment (once trained).
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing goods for dispatch.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Operating in a temperature-controlled environment when necessary.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) safely and repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Flexibility to work afternoon shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations (preferred but not essential).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Forklift licence (advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to our Penrith Distribution Centre.
