Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Literary Agent Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will provide crucial administrative and editorial support to our literary agents, helping to manage author portfolios, submissions, and rights. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage agent schedules, appointments, and correspondence.
  • Read and evaluate manuscript submissions, providing concise feedback and recommendations.
  • Prepare submission materials, including cover letters, synopses, and proposals.
  • Assist with contract administration and royalty statement reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update author databases and project tracking systems.
  • Liaise with authors, publishers, and other industry professionals.
  • Handle general office administration tasks as required.
  • Research market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
