Key Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and all kitchen utensils.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and equipment.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
- Receiving, unpacking, and storing kitchen deliveries correctly and efficiently.
- Ensuring all waste is managed and disposed of according to company procedures.
- Supporting the culinary team with any ad-hoc tasks as required to maintain smooth service.
- Adhering to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- No prior kitchen experience is necessary – full training will be provided.
- A strong work ethic and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations or an interest in the culinary arts.
- Current Food Safety Certificate (e.g., Food Handler certificate) is a plus, but not essential.
