Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst with an Operations Focus to join our professional team in Perth. This entry-level role is perfect for a recent graduate or someone early in their career looking to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a dynamic financial services environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting our operational efficiency initiatives, helping to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day business functions. You will work closely with senior analysts, operations managers, and various business units to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to actionable solutions that enhance our operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from various stakeholders.
- Support the mapping and analysis of current operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of solutions and recommendations for process optimization and system enhancements.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visual aids to communicate findings and progress to the team.
- Participate in testing and validation of new processes or system changes to ensure they meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and other business units, to ensure alignment.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of business processes, requirements, and project artifacts.
- Support ongoing operational activities and respond to ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in business operations, process improvement, and financial services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or project experience in a business analysis or operations role.
- Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
