Job Description
We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-time Janitorial Support for schools in the Werribee area. This role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across school premises during day roster shifts. You will be an integral part of ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for students and staff. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Support special cleaning projects as required, such as floor buffing or deep cleaning.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with school staff and students.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, particularly within a school or similar institutional environment.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic knowledge of OH&S procedures.
