Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitorial Assistant for our Berri store. This full-time position involves working regular morning shifts to ensure our store premises are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas regularly.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently and reliably.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 15kg, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety precautions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or commercial cleaning role.
- Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment.
- Current police check or willingness to obtain one.
