Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Springwood, QLD. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our IT procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, supplier relationship management, and compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting IT hardware, software, and services, playing a pivotal role in supporting Telstra’s technological advancements and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end IT procurement lifecycle, from requisition to contract management.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring best value and quality.
- Lead complex contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and technological advancements to identify new procurement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and risk mitigation.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on procurement activities, savings, and performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT procurement or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor management.
- In-depth knowledge of IT hardware, software, and services market.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
