Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Instructional Designer (Assistant) to join our dynamic EdTech team in Geelong. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about education and technology, eager to develop engaging and effective learning experiences. You will support senior instructional designers in creating high-quality, innovative digital content for our various educational platforms, contributing to courses that empower students globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, analysis, and design of learning objectives and content outlines for new and existing courses.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and instructional effectiveness.
- Support the development of engaging instructional materials, including digital modules, interactive exercises, assessments, and multimedia scripts.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on learning content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with instructional design principles.
- Help maintain and update course documentation, style guides, and templates.
- Participate in quality assurance processes for online learning modules and platforms.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and EdTech.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Enthusiasm for educational technology and a passion for creating impactful learning experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- A portfolio showcasing samples of instructional materials or projects (academic or professional).
