Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Online WordPress Specialist to join our dynamic team, focusing primarily on the maintenance, security, and performance optimization of our WordPress-powered websites. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our digital platforms, supporting our marketing initiatives, and providing an excellent user experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a solid understanding of WordPress best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular updates of WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure security and functionality.
- Monitor website performance, security, and uptime, addressing issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain website backups and disaster recovery protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues, including broken links, plugin conflicts, and display errors.
- Ensure website security through regular scans and implementing preventative measures.
- Optimize website speed and performance for a seamless user experience.
- Assist with minor content updates and front-end adjustments using page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg).
- Collaborate with the development and marketing teams to implement new features or campaigns.
- Document maintenance procedures, changes, and configurations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in WordPress administration, including multi-site environments.
- Experience with theme and plugin management, installation, and configuration.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Knowledge of website security best practices and tools.
- Familiarity with website performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with cPanel or similar hosting environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of PHP.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with SEO principles and Google Analytics.
- Previous experience in a digital agency environment.
- Understanding of database management (MySQL).
