Job Description
As an HRIS Data Specialist at Commonwealth Bank, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our Human Resources Information Systems. This position is vital for ensuring seamless HR operations, robust reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will be responsible for managing HR data, performing audits, generating reports, and providing support to HRIS users. This role demands a strong understanding of HR processes, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in HRIS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all HR data within the HRIS.
- Perform regular data audits and clean-up activities to maintain high data quality standards.
- Process various HR transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations, within the HRIS.
- Generate and distribute a variety of HR reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide front-line support to HRIS users, troubleshooting issues and offering guidance.
- Assist in the implementation of HRIS upgrades, patches, and new modules.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for HRIS processes, procedures, and data definitions.
- Ensure strict compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Strong understanding of HR data management principles and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide effective user support.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations, such as the Australian Privacy Principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant HRIS certification.
- Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools.
- Prior experience in a large corporate or financial services environment.
- Project experience in HRIS implementations or major system upgrades.
