Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Farm Labourers to join our ginger farming operations near Fremantle, Western Australia. This role offers excellent earning potential through a high piece rate system, with reliable weekly pay. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the efficient harvesting, cultivation, and packing of premium quality ginger. This is a physically demanding outdoor role suitable for individuals who are reliable, resilient, and eager to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Harvesting ginger by hand or using basic tools
- Planting and maintaining ginger crops
- Weeding, pruning, and general field maintenance
- Sorting, grading, and packing harvested ginger
- Operating basic farm machinery and equipment (training provided as needed)
- Adhering to strict food safety and quality standards
- Working collaboratively with the farm team to achieve daily targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture or horticulture, particularly ginger farming
- Current driver's license and reliable transport
- Experience with piece rate work
- First Aid certification
