Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Flat Pack Assembler to join our Shepparton team in a casual retail support capacity. This flexible role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a knack for assembly, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for efficiently assembling our diverse range of flat-pack furniture, ensuring products are displayed correctly, and assisting customers with product inquiries. This position requires someone who can work flexibly across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to meet our retail needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble a wide variety of IKEA flat-pack furniture and products accurately and efficiently according to instructions.
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and are ready for display or customer collection.
  • Assist with merchandising and maintaining the presentation of display areas.
  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, answering product questions related to assembly or functionality.
  • Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge and experience with common hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex assembly instructions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, move, and assemble furniture items.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Reliability and a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in furniture assembly or a similar hands-on role.
