Job Description
Join Expo Group Australia as our Exhibition Set-Up Staff and become a vital part of our national project team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have a keen eye for detail, and are eager to travel across Australia to help construct stunning exhibition booths and event spaces. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient assembly, dismantling, and maintenance of various exhibition components, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards and on schedule. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel nationally to various exhibition sites as required to support project needs.
- Efficiently and safely set up and dismantle exhibition stands, displays, and temporary structures according to design specifications and deadlines.
- Unload, load, and transport exhibition materials and equipment.
- Conduct quality checks on all installations to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist with on-site maintenance and troubleshooting of exhibition elements during events.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any damage or issues.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in exhibition setup, event production, construction, or a similar hands-on role.
- Forklift license (LF class) or willingness to obtain one.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with various building materials and techniques.
