Job Description
Join Live Nation Australia as an Event Student Intern in a paid production placement. This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and driven student to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of live event production. You will work closely with our experienced production teams, learning the intricate details of planning, executing, and dismantling events of various scales. This placement is designed to provide practical skills and knowledge, offering a comprehensive insight into the live entertainment industry. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the production team with event planning and logistics.
- Support on-site event setup, operation, and teardown.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff as directed.
- Help manage production schedules and timelines.
- Conduct research on potential venues, equipment, and production techniques.
- Prepare event documentation, including risk assessments and production briefs.
- Provide administrative support to the production department.
- Attend production meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards during events.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a relevant tertiary program (e.g., Event Management, Arts Management, Production, Technical Theatre).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for live events and the entertainment industry.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or paid experience in event support or production.
- Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment and stage setup.
- Experience with project management tools.
- A valid Australian driver's license.
