Job Description
Are you looking for short-term, physically engaging work within Fremantle’s vibrant events scene? Encore Event Technologies is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Event Bumping Crew. This role is perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are available for flexible, on-demand shifts. You’ll be instrumental in the setup and pack-down of various events, from conferences to concerts, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, including audio-visual gear, staging, furniture, and lighting.
- Follow instructions from event managers and technicians to set up and dismantle event spaces efficiently and safely.
- Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and positioning equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment during setup and pack-down.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with the event team to meet strict deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing/walking.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing event requirements.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, warehousing, or a physically demanding role is a plus, but not essential.
- Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card) is advantageous.
- Ability to commit to irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
