Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated E-commerce Data Specialist to join our dynamic digital team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for tracking, analysing, and reporting on e-commerce sales performance, customer trends, and website metrics. Your insights will directly inform strategic decisions, optimize our online customer experience, and drive growth for Bunnings’ digital platforms. This is a high-demand position requiring a keen eye for detail and a passion for turning data into actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards on e-commerce sales, website traffic, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and analyze sales trends, identifying opportunities and potential risks within our product categories and customer segments.
- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to track user behaviour, pathing, and funnel performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver insightful analysis.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support specific business initiatives and answer critical questions related to e-commerce performance.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all reporting.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in e-commerce analytics and data visualization.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an e-commerce data analysis or similar role.
- Proficiency with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated understanding of e-commerce business models and metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and analysis.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus).
