Job Description
Join our vibrant team at Goodstart Early Learning Canning Vale as a Casual Childcare Assistant! This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible work during day shifts and school holidays, supporting our lead educators in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. You will play a vital role in children’s daily activities, helping them learn, play, and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in implementing engaging educational programs and activities for children of various age groups.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help with meal times, sleep routines, and personal hygiene, promoting healthy habits.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe and document children's progress and behaviour as required.
- Adhere to all Goodstart Early Learning policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of child development and safety practices.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards).
- Prior experience in a childcare setting or working with children.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
