Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bus Cleaner to join our night shift team in Logan City, QLD. This is a crucial role ensuring our fleet of buses is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the comfort and safety of our passengers and staff. You will work independently and as part of a team to prepare buses for service each day, contributing to the smooth operation of public transport in the region. This position offers stable income and a consistent work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean the interior of buses, including seats, floors, windows, and dashboards.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Wash and dry bus exteriors using automated or manual cleaning equipment.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety concerns observed during cleaning.
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitiser dispensers.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area within the depot.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Reliability and punctuality for night shift work.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work schedules efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or similar roles.
- Experience operating cleaning machinery or equipment.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport to the depot.
- Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use.
