Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Emergency Dispatch Assistant to join our dedicated team. This crucial role involves supporting police and fire dispatch operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of information during emergencies. You will be the first point of contact for many critical situations, requiring a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to process information quickly and accurately under pressure. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and log non-emergency calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Assist dispatchers by relaying information to police officers and fire crews.
  • Monitor radio communications and maintain accurate incident logs.
  • Process administrative tasks related to dispatch operations, including data entry and report generation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to all relevant protocols.
  • Provide support to the control room team during high-volume periods or major incidents.
  • Operate various communication systems and databases effectively.
  • Verify and update caller information and incident details in the system.
