Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Paving Labourers to join our dynamic team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and are looking for a physically active role with weekly pay. As a Paving Labourer, you will be an integral part of our construction crew, assisting with various aspects of paving projects, from site preparation to laying materials and ensuring a high standard of finish. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for those looking to start a career in construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled pavers in all aspects of road, path, and driveway construction and repair.
- Prepare work sites by digging, levelling, and compacting ground.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Mix, spread, and compact asphalt, concrete, and other paving materials.
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the team in achieving project deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or outdoor labouring role.
- Valid UK driving license.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
