Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Barback / Glass Collector to join our energetic team at The Varsity Club. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our busy nightlife environment, ensuring our bartenders have everything they need to deliver outstanding service. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including collecting and washing glasses efficiently.
- Restock bar supplies such as spirits, mixers, ice, and garnishes throughout shifts.
- Assist bartenders with prep work, including cutting fruit and preparing mixers.
- Ensure fridges are consistently stocked and organised.
- Support the bar team during peak hours, anticipating needs and proactively addressing them.
- Handle waste and recycling responsibly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for evening and weekend shifts.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of basic bar operations.
- A passion for customer service and the nightlife industry.
