Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Wholesale Warehouse Hand to join our dynamic team in Byron Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity for stable, long-term work within a key distribution centre. As a Warehouse Hand, you will be crucial to our operations, responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will contribute to maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment, ensuring that products are ready for timely delivery to our valued customers. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming goods accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to picking slips and delivery schedules.
- Load outgoing trucks with prepared orders, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) safely.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or potential hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 25kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage.
- Current forklift license (LF Class) is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Basic computer literacy.
