Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Mailroom Assistant to join our Goulburn office team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start their career in an administrative and operational support role within a dynamic office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling and distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and internal communications, ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Prepare outgoing mail, including weighing, franking, and packaging items for dispatch.
- Manage internal mail distribution and inter-office correspondence.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as franking machines, scanners, and package tracking systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with courier services and coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure the mailroom is kept tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, word processing).
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 15 kg.
