Job Description
Lendlease is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our dynamic construction teams as Labourers in Geelong, Victoria. This is an incredible opportunity for those with no prior experience in construction to kickstart their career with a global leader. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sites, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality projects while upholding the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks.
- Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe worksite, including rubbish removal and general site tidiness.
- Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Performing general manual labour, such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Adhering strictly to all site safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Assisting with site setup and pack down procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour safely.
- A strong commitment to safety on site.
- Basic communication skills.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Construction Induction Card (White Card) prior to commencing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., warehousing, landscaping, manufacturing).
- Current driver's license and reliable transport to various Geelong worksites.
- First Aid certification is a plus but not essential.
