Job Description
JBS Australia is seeking experienced and diligent Export Meat Packers to join our team in Kalgoorlie, WA. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering high hourly rates for individuals who are committed to quality and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment. As an Export Meat Packer, you will be an integral part of our processing operations, ensuring that all meat products meet stringent export standards and are prepared for shipment to our global customers. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. Prior experience in a meat processing facility is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to meat packing, including trimming, boning, slicing, and preparing cuts according to specific product specifications.
- Operate relevant machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all products meet strict quality control and food safety standards for export.
- Pack and label meat products accurately and in compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to all hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in meat processing or a similar fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a temperature-controlled setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Understanding and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualifications or certifications in meat processing or butchery.
- Experience with export-specific packing and labelling requirements.
- Forklift license (an advantage for internal logistics).
- First Aid certification.
